Thermo Electron Directors Visit Brazil
Charged with great enthusiasm – and guaraná soda, of which they are now big fans -, Thermo Electron executives Kevin Smith, global manager for Channels, and Oliver Faidi, manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, marked their presence on Brazilian soil in early June. Their mission was to visit Brazilian companies and subsidiaries that are worldwide examples of sophisticated technological production.
Their itinerary included Braskem, Dow, Janssen-Cilag and Petrobras, some of the successful cases in the implementation of Thermo Electron technology, Cybertécnica’s regional partner. In his visits, Faidi felt that “the benefits of the cooperation between Thermo/Cybertécnica and its clients are clearly in tune”.
This visit reaffirms Thermo Electron’s global leadership position - as the largest analytical instrumentation group and laboratory software and services solution provider in the world -, and its interest in being ever closer to its Latin American clients, sharing their challenges and understanding their needs through Cybertécnica’s partnership.
Kevin Smith, who has worked at Thermo for over 20 years, says that he grew together with many of the company’s products, and is proud to see the key role these tools play in the improvement of Brazilian clients’ productivity and operation regulation. Smith enthusiastically guarantees that “we are building excellent partnerships in the region, and, together with Cybertécnica, we can really say that Brazil Can Do It!”.
At the end of their trip, the executives took with them not only Brazil’s laudable hospitality, but also the vision that Brazil presents itself technologically as an equal peer to great global powers.
